As any fan knows, Shocking Blue’s not-so-secret weapon was the one-of-a-kind deep, throaty, powerhouse vocals from lead singer Mariska Veres. Mariska seems reinvigorated by the new line-up and you can hear it in her voice. Delivering the goods with a higher-octane than usual, Mariska and the boys turn some run-of-the-mill covers into rocking anthems.
The arrangements are simple, but the sound is tight and the playing solid. A great re-issue with remastered audio for all Shocking Blue fans and anyone who wants to hear some of the best hidden gems in rock music history.
